Queer Flowers, ongoing.
As a non-binary portrait photographer, I am inspired by the intricate interplay of nature, queerness, and Black personhood. My work celebrates the vibrant lives of Black and Brown Queer, Trans, and gender non-conforming individuals, capturing their beauty against the backdrop of flowers or Midwestern landscapes. Through my lens, I explore themes of identity, liberation, and community, creating visual narratives that honor the full spectrum of human experience.
Queer Flowers is an extension of this, and an ode to Black Queer, Trans and Enby people. This series is a mixture of people who are friends, people whom I share community with, and people I just met.
This project is ongoing in Chicago, IL, but I am looking for funding for this to stretch across the Midwest, and the world.
