Statues in the Park with Tia + JaMa
Can you imagine with me for a sec?
You’re a statue. and you’ve been a statue your whole existence.
The only time you have the onus to move your body is when the sun is setting.
So, you’ve never went beyond the park because why would you want to be frozen or stuck somewhere you don’t want to be or don’t know?
And for the past 1,000 years, this park has been all you known. The trees call you whistling your name as the wind blows through, the bugs march by and gaze at your grandeur, and the animals sit on your shoulder and share all the community gossip. You’ve seen generations of foliage, and you bask in them all with the same love.
But still, you’ve never seen another statue, another person like you. The sun is setting, the gloss over your eyes starts to fade, and the feeling comes back in your neck.
You wonder, were they too displaced from another park?
You don’t think about it often these days, but with the shock of no longer being alone, you recount the night you too woke up in a new place and had to call it home.
But are they a statue or are you tripping? It’s been so long. But in a few minutes, you’ll be able to move. So, you wait until you can't wait any longer.
